EXPERIENCE
As founder and president of Sleeping Dog Properties, Inc., Chris Rapczynski has spent three decades transforming Boston's architectural landscape. His path in construction began in Boston's Back Bay, where he worked as a carpenter and craftsman, mastering the intricacies of historic home renovations. This foundation in hands-on construction shaped his vision when he launched his design/build firm in 1993.
Rapczynski's work has earned widespread industry recognition, with accolades including the Boston Society of Architects Design Award, an AIA HUD Housing Access Award, and multiple Best of Houzz Awards. His innovative approach to construction and design has captured the attention of major publications, with features in Architectural Digest, The Boston Globe, and Boston Magazine.
While expanding into new markets across New England, including custom vacation homes in New Hampshire's Lakes Region and Cape Cod, Rapczynski maintains his commitment to community development. Based in Andover with his wife and three children, he dedicates time to mentoring emerging construction professionals and creating pathways for underserved individuals to build careers in the industry. His leadership extends to youth development through local sports coaching and industry education initiatives.
From his early days as a carpenter to his current role leading one of Boston's premier construction firms, Rapczynski's dedication to exceptional craftsmanship and client satisfaction remains the cornerstone of his professional philosophy.
